We have done it again – found the original bag that a house has used as the basis of a re-issue. In this case it is a Gucci Jackie 1961 bag.
A stunning vintage Gucci Jackie bag made from smooth black leather (in some lights it looks very dark navy) with gold hardware. This bag featured the very special piston clasp.
Inside the bag is lined with a stunning red leather lining and there is a zipped pocket for valuables. There is some lovely Gucci branding inside with a gold Gucci plaque and gold inner zip pull.
The shoulder strap drop is 47cm at its longest. This bag can be worn on the shoulder or across the body.
This bag is in very good vintage condition, a true collectors item. There is some slight creasing to the leather and some slight colour fade to the gold hardware. This bag now retails close to £1900.
