A colorful origin story
Reproduced in stunningly accurate detail using the original production plans, the Defy Revival A3691 brings back all the details and singular design elements that made the 1971 original so outstanding in its era, which established the codes that continues to inspire the modern Defy collection and its extensive use of vibrant colors. This includes an octagonal case paired with a fourteen-sided bezel (a ‘tetradecagon’ for those keeping score at home), a deep ruby red dial with a striking gradient effect that darkens towards the edges, unusual applied square hour markers feature horizontal grooves, and the now-iconic Gay Frères steel “ladder” bracelet.
This Defy Revival is powered by Zenith’s own quintessential automatic movement, the Elite 670, which has been in-house manufactured and developed, and has remained an integral part of Zenith’s offerings for over 25 years. Ultra-thin in its proportions and irreproachable in its performance, the Elite provides a power reserve of 50 hours with its automatic winding mechanism and can host numerous complications.
